Port de Pollensa, Puerto Pollenca - the beach and the bay.
The resort of Port de Pollensa is in the northeastern corner of Majorca. It takes about an hour to get here from the airport. Although it has all the amenites you might expect for a holiday in the sea, sand and sun, it is quieter than the more developed resorts futher south.
Puerto Pollensa appeals to families, since the sea is gentle and quite shallow. Ther is a range of international cafes and restaurants - so if you are looking for family bars, burgers, pizza or Indian meals, you will be well catered for. Authentic Spanish restaurants may take a little more searching for.
We found one one disco, called Chivas, but most of the evening entertainment is based in the hotels or the local restaurants.
