This large lake is not for swimming or water borne leisure pursuits, I'm afraid. It is part of the HEP provision on Majorca.
The road disappears through a tunnel at this point (you can see the tunnel entrance on the photo), since the mountains are so huge, it would be very difficult to take a road over the top of them!
