If you walk out along the sea-front at Port de Soller, past the shops, you reach the picturesque harbour and marina area.
This part of the village has a great choice of cafes and restaurants and is a lovely pace to sit and eat or drink with the bay beside you.
By the way, if you are thinking of driving to Soller, we must recommend the new tunnel linking it to the main Palma road. This tunnel is nearly 3 km long and cuts straight through the steepest and wiggliest roads. After a day of hard driving on mountain roads, this was a motorist's dream. No views to speak of, granted, but wide, flat straight roads. A welcome relief! (the charge for travelling through the tunnel per car was 4.55 Euro in 2011).
