S'Arenal is an absolutely enormous, curving sandy bay, close to the airport and just east of Majorca's capital city, Palma. This means it gets busy. Very busy.
One side of the street is the sandy beach, The beach area itself is quite narrow - about 10 metres - and punctuated at regular intervals by beach cafes and parasol and sun lounger hire area.
The other side is an almost never-ending parade of shops, cafes, burger bars, pizza places etc. Behind these are lines of hotels, night clubs, amusement arcades and yet more burger bars, pizza places and shops.
