The beach at Formentor is beautiful Š a long, sandy stretch, backed by trees for shade, with calm, turquoise water. The Hotel Formentor is one of the island's oldest. It opened in 1929 and pampered to the rich and famous, although now it is available to everyone.
Many day trip boats visit this beach, so it can get rather busy during the day. There is a beach shop and one, large self service cafˇ, serving a predictable and very average menu of chips, pizzas and pasta.
