Cala Mesquida, in the north east of Majorca is a modern, purpose-built holiday resort. It is much, much quieter than its neighbouring resorts of Alcudia Bay and Cala Millor.
Cala Mesquida doesn't have night clubs, water parks, burger bars and high -rise hotels. Instead it has a large supply of low-rise self catering (time share?) complexes and entertainment such as scuba diving and horse riding.
We were there in autumn 2008, when it seemed to cater mainly to German families.
