Although it looks fairly quiet on this photo, this was taken in the late season - Autumn 2008. Judging by the number of cafes, bars and restaurants, Cala D'Or gets pretty busy in peak season.
If you like shopping, you won't be disappointed by Cala D'Or. We were amazed at the number of shops here, many of which were on pedestrianised streets (which might be just as well if you have been sampling the sangria and cerveza). You can eat from a range of international cuisine, such as pasta, pizza, steak, burgers, tapas, but we found it difficult to find somewhere small enough to feel cosy and truly Majorcan.
Most places were seriously into overt selling and employed young people to coax you off the street and into their establishments.
