We took the tourist train all the way from the south end of S'Arenal to Ca'n Pastilla at the far end. It's worth the trip. Your ticket lasts all day and you can hop on and off as often as you like. This was the quiet end of the bay, at Ca'n Pastilla. We stopped here for a bite to eat and a cool beer. There are still plenty of shops and cafes here, but it's less frenetic than the S'Arenal end of the bay.
The beach behind the jetty here is quiet, flat and sheltered. It seemed to have a great fish restaurant and was very popular with the locals. The other side of the beach, near Cala Estancia, is very popular with wind surfers and kite surfers - there was a well-stocked surfing shop here, where you could hire all the gear. It was great fun watching them zip across the bay, dancing on the waves!
