	Lluc monastery. Monks Garden. Majorca, Spain, Balearic Islands Lluc monastery This monastery is situated on the road between Pollensa and Soller, high in the mountains. It is a huge, austere building, very popular with coach trippers. The square outside the monastery caters for the tourist with cafes, information centres and even a cash dispenser! Our favourite part of the place, however, was the garden at the back. It is a quiet, ramshackle, peaceful place. You are instructed to follow the tiny narrow path, one way round, stopping to sit, relax, and enjoy nature in this calm, spiritual atmosphere. Lovely.
