Majorca holidays are largely popular with UK holidaymakers because of their versatility.
While the resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf in the south of the island are particular favourites of young clubbers, there are other resorts in the north with a gentler pace of life.
Majorca holidays also cater well for families. What kids wouldn’t enjoy playing on beautiful, sandy beaches in the warm sunshine?
Majorca isn’t just about beaches, pubs and clubs though, it’s also home to a number of thrilling water parks.
Listed below are three firm favourites when it comes to making a splash in Majorca.
- Aqualand
Aqualand El Arenal is fairly close to the resort of Palma. It’s therefore a popular day trip with young families looking for a bit of excitement on their Majorca holidays.
If you’ve got a car it’s free to park here. Aqualand has a good selection of rides, and the names leave little to the imagination.
From the Harakiri and Black Hole, through to the Kamikaze and The Devil’s Tail, this water park has something for even the most experienced. There is also a smaller water park for younger children so they don’t have to miss out.
- Hidroland
Hidroland is located in Alcudia in the north of Majorca. It’s the only water park on this part of the island, so as you can imagine, it’s always popular.
With 15 slides, three pools and a whole host of other things to do, Hidroland is definitely a day trip worth making on your holiday in Majorca.
As well as all the things you’d expect from a water park, you’ll also find three mini golf courses, paintballing, and a children’s bouncy castle.
When you holiday in this part of Majorca, Hidroland should be near the top of your ‘to do list’, especially if you have young children.
- Western Water Park
Based in Magaluf, the Western Water Park is full of young holidaymakers from the UK every summer.
As the name will tell you, this water park has an American Wild West theme. Some of the rides you can enjoy include the 260 metre Megaslide, The Beast and Los 4 Diablos.
As with the other two parks mentioned already, Western Water Park has a separate area for small children. And the spectacular diving show will prove to be one of the highlights of your holiday in Majorca.
